WP does not attend meetings with other parties to avoid 3-cornered fights: Pritam Singh

At an Apr. 19 press conference, the Workers' Party (WP) announced three more candidates standing in the upcoming general election.

After the introductions, Singh fielded some questions from the media.

One of them was on whether WP was "in dialogue" with other opposition parties to avoid three-cornered fights.

Singh noted that all the seats in elections had been "contested for a while" in general elections.

So three-cornered fights would come about as a result of all those contestations.

He also said that "generally, we don't discuss these things publicly".

Singh continued, saying that while there are meetings to resolve multi-corner disputes, WP does not attend these sessions.

He also noted that there were probably going to be more three-corner or multi-corner fights from here on, as it's an open system.
