Woman killed in Ang Mo Kio after taking in homeless man
A 67-year-old woman was found dead in her HDB unit in Ang Mo Kio on Friday (29 Nov) morning.
The incident took place at Block 125 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 6.
The police have arrested a 66-year-old male suspect whom the victim took in — he was allegedly homeless.
Both of them frequently had arguments
Ms Lin (surname transliterated from Chinese), a long-time friend of the victim, shared that she had allowed the suspect to intermittently stay with her since the Covid-19 pandemic as he was homeless, reported 8world News.
However, both of them often into fights over money and alcohol.
One of the victim’s neighbours confirmed that she heard loud quarrels from the victim’s flat nearly every day.
The neighbour also claimed that the victim had refused to let the suspect into her home last week.
Suspect allegedly beat her up & stabbed her with scissors
At about 1am on Friday (29 Nov), the police were alerted to the incident and found the victim lying motionless in the house.
She was later pronounced dead after being sent to a hospital. The man living with her was arrested at the scene.
Ms Lin said her friend was beaten up by the suspect, as she had always been all along.
