JB public transport guide

Sure, there are tons of useful travel guides out there on how to get to JB, but what about getting around once you’re there? Since there aren’t many guides covering that, we’ve put together this JB public transport guide that’ll get you navigating the city like a pro in no time.

The current exchange rate is RM1 = ~S$0.29 as of 17th April 2025.

What public transport options are available in JB?

At the time of writing, JB doesn’t have a metro network, apart from the near-completed JB-SG RTS Link. While there have been rumours of a light rail transit (LRT) or tram-bus network being added to the mix, that’ll still take some time to materialise.

Currently, JB’s public transport network is made up only of buses that connect the city centre to destinations like shopping malls and other attractions. You can hop on these buses from either the JB Sentral Bus Terminal or Larkin Bus Terminal.
