Tourist Dies After Single Blow in Phuket Road Rage Clash

The violent fight led to the death of a 57 year old Australian tourist who was killed by a Swedish tourist in the island of Phuket in Thailand.

The case occurred on Wednesday evening in the Prachanukhro Road, which is a popular location not very far off the nightlife area in the island. What started as an ordinary road rage, soon evolved into a deadly brawl that both astonished the locals and tourists.

Police claim that the two men were on rented motorbikes when they began honking at one another. One of the witnesses alleged that one rider might have passed the person line, which led to anger and high-level shouting. The personage went on to an adjoining alley, where the thing at once became corporeal.

The Moment of the Attack

CCTV videos that are later reviewed by officers indicate that the Australian man steps back, and the other man moves towards him. 

In a few seconds, the suspect hit him once with the lower part of his hand in what seemed to be a martial arts-style attack. The effect made the victim fall backwards causing his head to hit the ground hard. He fell into unconsciousness.

One of the women who seemed to be the girlfriend of the suspect attempted to intervene in the fight, but she failed to avert the attack. Once the man fell, the suspect and the woman fled the scene before the emergency services arrived.
