Local House in Johor Bahru

If you’ve been following our content lately, you may have noticed that we’ve been covering a lot of fancy cafes in JB, such as Sunday Morning Coffee Shop and Rowan & Parsley. Local House, a cafe at Mount Austin that serves unpretentious Malaysian food, offers a nice alternative to the usual cafe fare.

The place is best described as a casual Malaysian cafe with fuss-free service, comfortable air-conditioned interiors, and plenty of local grub to choose from. And while it’s not as Instagrammable as some of the other JB places we’ve covered, the ambience still feels pretty classy.
