Farewell Filled With Gratitude

Students at the University of Bahrain (UOB) came together on 28 September to honour Sheikh Islam, a Bangladeshi worker who had long served the College of Law with dedication and care.

A video of the farewell, shared by @/lawsociety.uob on Instagram, showed Islam becoming visibly emotional as students applauded and thanked him for his contributions. The event, organised by the Law School Society, was described as a celebration of a man who “was not just a worker, but a soul who brought joy to every corner of the College.”

The clip has drawn praise online. Many describe the moment as an example of respect and appreciation for migrant workers who often work quietly behind the scenes.
