SINGAPORE – Collectors can now add souvenirs marking the nation’s 60th birthday, which include commemorative medallions, silver ingots and gold-plated bookmarks, to their trove.
The SG60 collection will be released in phases throughout 2025, said the Singapore Mint in a media statement on March 13.
Checks show that most of the items in the collection can already be purchased or pre-ordered on the Singapore Mint’s official website.
Its products are also available at retail shops at Chinatown Point, Suntec City mall and the Coin Gallery in Teban Gardens Crescent.
The SG60 collectibles are centred around three main themes: Singapore’s heritage districts, the Merlion and the kebaya.
Items in the Jalan Jalan Through Heritage Districts of Singapore collection celebrate five iconic districts – Changi, Jurong, Tiong Bahru, Toa Payoh and Queenstown – in the form of medallions and gold-plated bookmarks.
The medallions, weighing
28.35g
and crafted in 999 fine silver, showcase each district’s present on one side and its past on the other,
and are available from $100
. There are only 2,000 pieces per design.
The bookmarks, meanwhile, are circular-shaped and feature a depiction in colour of a district. They are priced at $15 each.
Souvenirs in the Timeless Merlion collection feature Singapore’s iconic half-lion, half-fish mascot, and include limited-edition ingots weighing
28.35g
and made of 999 fine silver.
The Dazzling Merlion ingot – available from $120 – comes with an individual serial number prefixed with “SG60” on its back.
