LOS ANGELES - Malaysian comedian-actor Ronny Chieng says he was “just poking fun” when he described Singaporeans as a nation of “small island Karens”, and insists he does not hate the country.
Speaking to The Straits Times at a press event in Pasadena, California on July 10, the 38-year-old clarified his controversial comment, which he posted on an Instagram Story in March.
