Planning to travel in coming months? Scoot is adding more flights to several Asia-Pacific cities

SINGAPORE - Good news for those planning their next travel. Scoot has announced more flights and passenger capacity to popular destinations such as Bali, Seoul, Taipei and Perth.

The low-cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines announced on May 9 that the initiative was introduced to support the strong demand for air travel in the upcoming months.

Here are some flights to look out for:

Taiwan, South Korea, Japan (via Taipei)

Flights to Taipei and Seoul (via Taipei) will increase from five times weekly to daily services from Aug 2.

Since March 30, passenger capacity to Taipei and Tokyo (via Taipei) has also increased for all 12 weekly flights.

Australia

Flights to Perth and Sydney will both increase to 14 times per week from Aug 4 and Oct 5 respectively.

These routes previously operated at 12 and 10 weekly services.

Philippines

Flights to Iloilo City will increase from two to four times weekly from June 6.

From June 24, flights to Cebu will increase from seven to 10 times weekly.

From Aug 30, services to Davao will increase to 12 times weekly, up from nine.

Thailand

Flights to Koh Samui will be increased to 25 times weekly, up from 21, from June 24.

Vietnam

Since April 15, flights to Phu Quoc have increased from five to six times weekly.

Indonesia

Scoot has ramped up its services to various Indonesian cities since March 30.

It now offers 25 flights to Jakarta each week, up from 19.

Passenger capacity to Yogyakarta has also increased as Scoot now operates the Airbus A321 aircraft on all seven weekly flights to the city.

Likewise, passenger capacity to all 21 weekly services to Bali has also increased with its operation of the widebody Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.

Earlier in March, the airline announced plans to launch four to six new destinations and take delivery of 14 to 16 new aircraft.
