SINGAPORE - A 33-year-old man was taken to hospital following a hit-and-run accident with a personal mobility device (PMD) in Yishun on Feb 6.
In response to queries, the police said they were alerted to the accident involving a pedestrian and a PMD in Yishun Ring Road towards Yishun Avenue 9 at around 11.45pm.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force said the pedestrian was taken to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. He was conscious at the time, the police added.
In a video posted on Facebook page SG Road Vigilante on Feb 7, which has since garnered over 112,000 views, a man is seen lying face down on the road next to a divider. One of his feet appears to be bare.
A person dressed in a black shirt and white shorts then walks towards the PMD, which is on its side in the middle of the road, and tries to pick it up before tripping over it.
After falling over the PMD, the man is seen lifting it and moving it to the side of the road. He then returns to the middle of the road to pick up some items.
A short while later, another person is seen approaching the man lying on the road.
The video also shows a photo of an ambulance and police officers at the scene.
Police investigations are ongoing.
