SINGAPORE: A woman was injured on Saturday (Jul 5) after a bottle was thrown at the bus she was travelling in, SMRT said on Sunday.

Bus service 190 had been travelling along Orchard Road at about 6.45pm on Saturday when a member of the public threw a bottle at the vehicle, resulting in a cracked windscreen, said SMRT Buses deputy managing director Vincent Gay.

“The bus captain brought the vehicle to a safe stop and checked on the passengers. All affected passengers were safely transferred to another bus to continue their journeys,” he said, adding that a female passenger sustained injuries.

The police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said that the 57-year-old woman was taken conscious to Raffles Hospital.
