20-year-old man crashed car into car & van in Jurong West while allegedly driving while using Kpod

A 20-year-old man will be charged with driving under the influence of drugs after being involved in a three-vehicle accident in Jurong West last October.

He was allegedly found to have been using an e-vaporiser laced with etomidate, known as a ‘Kpod’, said the Singapore Police Force (SPF) in a news release on Wednesday (2 Sept).

Man allegedly drove against traffic in Jurong West, crashes into car & van

At about 8.40pm on 28 Oct 2025, the man was driving a car but failed to move off after the traffic light turned green.

When a bus overtook him on the right, he overtook the bus from the left and stopped, before driving his car across the centre divider kerb.

He then allegedly drove onto the opposite side of the road against the flow of traffic.

This led to a collision with the right rear of another car and a van along Jurong West Street 91.

His car came to a stop after again mounting the centre divider kerb.
