Legacy Food Court Gets A Makeover
If you grew up in the East, you would probably have been to Parkway Parade. It has been the go-to mall for Easterners since its opening in 1983. And if you have been there, you would undoubtedly have eaten at the basement food court at some point. Now, that well-loved dining space has been taken over by new management and completely re-imagined as the new Kopitiam Food Hall.
Reopened in late March 2025, the food court is one of Singapore’s largest. It houses 32 stalls along with a beautifully designed Peranakan-themed seating area.
This is not your usual Kopitiam look. The whole space has been given a more upmarket feel, complete with a bar for drinks. There is even a counter serving freshly shucked oysters, marking a bold new chapter for one of the East’s most familiar food destinations.
