Cafes
1. Keijometo
Keijometo is one of the most popular cafes in Johor Bahru. This industrial cafe blew up on social media for its concrete exterior and minimal furnishings, resulting in a raw and unfinished look. The menu is Japanese-forward, with a focus on matcha. We recommend the Watermelon Matcha Iced Latte (RM17+), which pairs high-quality matcha powder with fresh milk and sweet watermelon juice. Food-wise, fill yourself up with the Mentaiko Tamagoyaki Sando (RM20+), comprising deep-fried egg patties and mentaiko mayo, torched till charred, and then sandwiched between white bread. Another crowd favourite is the Salmon Ochazuke (RM30+): grilled salmon, sushi rice, and matcha-based soup.
