SINGAPORE – The mass layoffs at giant firms like Google and Facebook parent Meta have propelled scores of tech workers back into the job market, which has helped to ease the labour crunch.
“The quantity of people in the market is the biggest since 2001, and hasn’t been seen in over two decades,” said Ms Jaya Dass, managing director for Asia-Pacific permanent recruitment at recruitment firm Randstad.
