French tourist leaves 100,000 baht in Phuket hotel, gives staff 100 baht tip after cash returned

A French tourist who accidentally left about 100,000 baht (around S$3,800) in cash at a Phuket hotel got it all back thanks to the staff’s honesty.

After returning to collect the substantial sum, he reportedly tipped them just 100 baht (S$3.80).

Housekeeper found envelope stuffed with cash in wardrobe

The incident took place at OASIS Phuket Airport, a four-star hotel in Southern Thailand.

A housekeeper initially encountered an envelope in a wardrobe.

Upon opening it, staff found stacks of Euro banknotes amounting to around S$3,800.
