Hong Kong-based actress Jacquelin Ch’ng has confirmed on social media that she has remarried three years after her divorce.

“Thank you all for your well-wishes,” the Malaysia-born artiste wrote in Chinese on Oct 9, posting photos from the wedding ceremony and reception.

“We’ve decided to keep things low-key as my partner is not from the entertainment industry. We hope everyone will give us some space. Thank you all.”

Hong Kong magazine East Week reported on Oct 8 that her husband is Hong Kong senior police inspector Matthew Wong and that the couple dated for more than 1½ years.

Ch’ng, 45, was previously married to Taiwanese businessman Brian Yang between 2020 and 2022. They had no children.

Some netizens also noted that both Ch’ng and Hong Kong actress Nancy Wu, who tied the knot on Oct 3, used to date Hong Kong singer Deep Ng.

Ch’ng is known for her roles in TVB dramas such as Heart And Greed (2017), Night Beauties (2023) and The Queen Of Castle (2025).

Rumours of her latest marriage went viral on social media on Oct 8 after she uploaded to Instagram Stories a photo of her doing her make-up for the wedding.

The marriage caught fans by surprise as she has never admitted publicly that she was in a relationship.

On the same day, Hong Kong media outlet HK01 published a photo of her wedding invitation, which stated the ceremony would be held at a hotel in Bali, Indonesia, on Oct 8.

Meanwhile, Ch’ng’s younger sister, fellow TVB actress Lisa Ch’ng, uploaded to Instagram Stories a photo of herself and her boyfriend, TVB actor Mat Yeung, in Bali with Hong Kong actress Myolie Wu and her businessman-husband Philip Lee, among other guests.

Jacquelin Ch’ng’s good friends, Hong Kong actor-host Derek Wong and singer-actress Jinny Ng, were also present.
