Hard Rock Bet launches online sportsbook and casino in Michigan

Entertainment brand Hard Rock Bet has launched a new venture with Island Resort and Casino in Michigan.

The partnership marks the 10th state where the brand has offered its online sportsbook, and the resort will also feature a physical casino in collaboration with the Hannahville Indian Community.

The Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) approved Hard Rock Bet after the existing licensed provider, 888 VHL, left the state.

The brand will be officially represented as Seminole Hard Rock Digital, LLC, to serve as the new Tribal representative to operate in the Great Lakes State.

MGCB Executive Director Henry Williams said of the partnership with the Tribal representatives, “We look forward to seeing the Hannahville Indian Community and Hard Rock provide a safe, responsible, and enjoyable wagering experience for players across the state — and especially for those served by one of Michigan’s long-standing tribal gaming operators in the Upper Peninsula.”

Michigan’s 15th casino location

The new Hard Rock Bet environment marks the 15th officially licensed premise in Michigan, the maximum number of providers approved under the state’s laws.
