The National University Health System (NUHS) and Sahlgrenska University Hospital have partnered with AstraZeneca, Ericsson, and Business Sweden to establish the Global Health Innovation Network (GHIN), aimed at advancing global healthcare innovation.
The partnership was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed at the Singapore-Sweden Royal Business Forum. The signing was witnessed by State Secretary for Healthcare, Ms. Miriam Söderström, and Singapore’s Permanent Secretary for Policy and Development, Ms. Lai Wei Lin, with Singapore’s Minister for Health, Mr. Ong Ye Kung, in attendance.
GHIN will focus on identifying, implementing, and scaling health innovations in screening, diagnosis, and monitoring. It seeks to address the global challenge of actualizing innovative technologies in healthcare to enhance efficiency and outcomes. This initiative is the first under the healthcare innovation collaboration MoU signed by Singapore and Sweden during the same event.
The GHIN will integrate expertise from healthcare, pharmaceutical, and communication industries. NUHS and Sahlgrenska University Hospital will provide clinical experience, hospital resources, and mentoring support, leveraging their collective knowledge to test, implement, and scale novel healthcare technologies.
