MANCHESTER, England - When Chelsea and Manchester City kick off the Women's League Cup final on Saturday, it will be the first of four games between the rivals in a span of 12 days, across three different competitions.

Following their clash for League Cup silverware, the sides will meet in a two-legged Champions League quarter-final with those games book-ending a Women's Super League game.

"We were all like 'That's crazy!'" Chelsea forward Aggie Beever-Jones told the BBC when they were drawn to play City in the Champions League.

"It's so unique. It will be interesting for the fans," Chelsea defender Niamh Charles added. "As a player, we're used to changing opposition all the time. But it is what it is. Each game is a separate thing and you attack each one."

Saturday's game marks City's first since they sacked manager Gareth Taylor.

Chelsea are on course for their sixth consecutive WSL title, topping the table with 44 points after 16 games. City are fourth on 32 points. REUTERS
