Amoy Street Food Centre is filled with many longstanding stalls, and there have been a few new stalls on the block lately. Previously a home-based business, BBraise decided to open a brick and mortar shop at Amoy Food Centre in early February this year.
The chef who is self-taught, was working with another business partner selling pig’s organ soup, prior to opening his own stall. When asked why he pivoted to selling braised meat, it was because it is one of his favourite foods. The meat is soaked in the braising liquid overnight before being braised in the wee hours of the morning.
2 options are available for each bowl— $5.90 for the normal bowl, or $6.90 for a bowl with additional pieces of B’fry. Besides the meat, the bowl also comes with vegetables, pickled radishes and a hard-boiled egg.
