SINGAPORE – Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the retail and design industry can survive – and even thrive – if they rethink their supply chains and look beyond traditional markets.

“It’s a mindset shift from ‘where we’ve always sold’ to ‘where we’re needed next’,” says Dr Samer Elhajjar, a senior lecturer in marketing at NUS Business School and media commentator whose broader expertise encompasses digital marketing, consumer behaviour and strategic marketing.
