Enter Labuan Bajo, a quiet fishing town located in East Indonesia. If you’ve not heard, the low-cost carrier now flies directly from Singapore to the town’s Komodo International Airport, making it extremely accessible for those long weekend getaways. Labuan Bajo is located on the tip of Flores, a large island in East Indonesia. The town itself is pretty small, measuring just 11.65sqkm, which means you can travel from one end to the other in about 15 minutes on foot. But, you’ll likely spend most of your time exploring the massive Komodo National Park and the various islands peppered along the Flores Sea.
