Where to find ice cream uncles in Singapore

There’s nothing quite like the joy of spotting an old-school ice cream uncle on a hot afternoon, serving up slabs of ice cream between crispy wafers or rainbow bread. While these nostalgic carts are getting harder to find, a few still roam our streets—here’s where you can track down 5 traditional ice cream uncles in Singapore for a sweet trip down memory lane.

1. Uncle Chieng Traditional & Wafer Ice Cream 

Uncle Chieng is one of the few ice cream carts in Singapore with an actual Google listing. Located in front of Takashimaya Shopping Centre along Orchard Road, the cart is popular among locals and tourists alike. Do note that they open from 1pm onwards, and close around 10pm.
