Best new restaurants in Singapore this April
If you’re looking for a new dining spot to bring the fam this month, you’ve come to the right place. From trendy home cafes to a popular durian buffet, here’s our guide to the top new restaurants in Singapore to check out in April 2025.
1. Peng Jia Zhou
Heads up, Easties. Peng Jia Zhou is a new addition to ESR BizPark Chai Chee, a 15-minute walk away from Bedok MRT Station. This new food court stall offers unique DIY congee priced from just $5 for 100g of ingredients. Essentially, this means the porridge is free of charge!
The concept is similar to mala hotpot, where you get to select the liao from a display at the counter. Thereafter, the staff will cook your chosen ingredients together with your porridge. During our visit, we could pick from over 15 items, ranging from pork liver and beef slices to dory fish and fresh veggies. We also recommend adding a side of Youtiao ($0.80), which is made by hand on the premises. These deep-fried fritters were crispy on the outside and light in the middle, soaking up the delicious congee.
